Andy Rementer, animated. That’s something that I think should have happened a long time ago. The animation below is to promote the 2010 Virgin London Marathon, and was produced with Saint at RKCR/Y&R. The animation is simple yet amazing. Ch-ch-check it out.
I really think Andy Rementer animated is an amazing idea. How rad would it be to see Techno Tuesday animated? I’m hoppin’ in the future Andy gets to do more animations.
I am a huge Animal Collective fan! Which is why I am super excited about their new visual album, ODDSAC, that just premiered at Sundance. Check out the trailer for the film below.
As you can see from the trailer the film looks super experimental. It’s described as a visual album, so I am not sure if there will be a plot. Either way it’s Animal Collective, so it’s guaranteed to be packed full of eye candy and radical music.
I really wish that companies would do this more. I’m really tired of seeing something hyping itself up as limited edition, when it isn’t. They just added some extra tracks or a behind the scene feature, change the cover a lil’ bit, and make just as many copies as they did with the original. When I used to buy a ton of DVDs 95 percent of them said limited or special edition. In reality though there was nothing limited or special about it. How rad would unique a silk-screened DVD cover be? I think that’s why I like what Stones Throw did for the vinyl.
1,000 copies were made. Each one is hand numbered. Each one is unique. Vinyl collectors should really check it out. I’ve heard the album, trust me it’s good. I also should mention that this is the first in a twelve month series of records from Madlib. Can’t wait for next one.
It’s here! Feltron’s 2009 Annual Report. Feltron can do some amazing things with the crazy amount of info he collects over a year. This year though he did something different, he asked friends, family members, and co-workers to report on his activities whenever they met. This one’s all about how other people view Mr. Feltron.
It’s really dope to see what other people have to say about Feltron, especially after reading his reports from previous years. This time he collects: the date, the location, the relationship to the person, his mood, the topics of the conversation, the food he ate, what he drank, and other various info. It’s insane how much info he got from other people, and how well he organized it. There is lots of candy for your eyes and random bits of info for your brain.
Sylvester Stallone is a badass. Kurt russell is a badass. Tango & Cash is a badass movie that features both of them. I loved the movie as a kid. Check out the trailer below.
The mondo inspirational Jeremyville has been on a blogin’ storm lately. Check out a snapshot of his sketchbook from his blog below.
Jeremyville is a rad artist that has created a world of his own. He sketches a ton, which is awesome. On his blog he has been posting lots of pictures of his sketch books and his studio. Take a look around when you get a chance and then start sketchin’ like a maniac.
To be honest I had no idea what to post today. Luckily, Youngna Park from Jen Bekman Gallery sent me an e-mail.
I’ve been a fan of Rachell Sumpter’s work for awhile, I even did a short interview with her back in July. Today, 20×200 released a new print that features her work, you can see it above.
There is a nice description of the Gauntlet on 20×200. I love how it seems that she just lets things happen with her work. Positive vibes and a carefree attitude. That’s what I take away from the piece.
If haven’t been to 20×200 before you should check it out. They sell prints by amazing artists, starting at $20 and limited to 200 prints. I’ve never actually bought a print from them, but I am sure they look amazing. It’s on my super long list of things to do. Positive vibes and a carefree attitude, so awesome.
