Got my copy of Beautiful/Decay’s Book 1 Supernaturalism in the mail on Saturday. Firsties the hand drawn cover by Kyle Thomas is amazing. Seconds it really is a book, it’s packed full of eight artist interviews, 14 project pages where 14 different artists interpret supernaturalism, and a sticker by Mat Brown printed by Sticker Robot. The interviews I have read so far are amazing. Overall the zine / magazine / book is great. My favorite part about the zine so far is the project pages. It’s awesome to see what each artist thinks supernaturalism is. So stoked for Book 2.

Michael Willis is a nice guy. He e-mailed me his work the other day and I dig it. He is one half of the Panther Club. The animation he did for the song Forever Heavy is amazing.

Wig Wam by Blaise Larmee is another rad zine I picked up at Floating World Comics. Each cover of the zine is handmade with stamps, which is so-oh rad! Inside the french folded zine are several pages of amazing art. One of my favorite parts of the zine is that he has a piece that starts on spread and folds over to the next. Never seen a zine do that before, it looks amazing. Pick up a copy if you can it’s only $3.

Maxime Francout is dope. I have had my eyes on him for awhile now. I wanna colab with him so bad. (Perfect co-lab zine so far: Maxime Francout, Andy Miller, Jeffrey Bowman, Will Bryant, Mike Perry, Tim Lahan, and me.) Here’s some great work from him.
PS Maxime was featured in Free Doodles II and Free Doodles II was featured on Anorak magazine’s blog.
