I can’t believe I haven’t posted Mia Nolting’s work before. I see her work a lot since she is from Portland, she got her edumaction from PNCA. I most recently saw her work in the show Fleet Upon Fleet at the Together Gallery. Her work is super duper it’s very joyful.
I first heard of Evan Meister’s work when I picked up Diamond Comics II. I instantly fell in love with the awesome steez of his drawings. His Flickr is full of awesome stuff so you better check it out.
If you missed ’em here are the reviews for Diamond Comics III and Diamond Comics II. Diamond Comics I is just like the other two, amazing! Although this one seems a little shorter than the other two I still dig it. Contributes this time around are: ShoboShobo, Christopher Blanc, Kerozen, Stanley Lieber, Pete Toms, Maureen Gubia, Frederic Coche, Laura Pelick, Joana Linda, Marlene Marino. Great zine, I can’t wait for Diamond Comics IV.
Forever ago I reviewed Diamond Comics III. I finally got my grubby hands on Diamond Comics II. Diamond Comics II is just as good as Diamond Comics III. It features a nice variety of artists and a color centerfold. I also enjoy the mix of comics and art. Contributing artists this time around: Luke Ramsey, Bald Eagles, Kevin Hooyman, Barnby Ward, Karm Piana, Becca Kacanda, Bongout / Meloo Gfeller, Ben Jacques, Evan Meister, Benjamin Marra, Chiu Kwong Man, and Jaclyn Lewis.
Tomorrow I’ll post Diamond Comics I, so stay tuned space cowboys and cowgirls.
