This book is amazing. Mike Perry’s previous book was Hand Job: A Catalog of Type, which I definitely also recommend you pick up. Over & Over is full of interesting patterns done by many dope artists. Including one of my fav artists Betsy Walton.
Neon Addict: The Fluorescent Color Book
This book makes amazing use of fluorescent Pantone colors. There’s some really amazing art is in this book too. The book is very well put together and is definitly reccomened for anyone who’s into neon colors.
Free Style Scraps 05: Clips
A simple clip art book, with pages and pages of graphic symbols. It even comes with a CD that is full of jpegs and eps files of the symbols. I definitly reccomend that you browse it for insperation.
Stereographics
I saw this one right before I left, and it’s amazing. As you can tell from the cover it features Jean Jullien, but it also features many other dope artists. The book is about innovative graphic designers who are pulling away from the digital medium and moving into sculptural 3D medium. A great idea if you ask me. I definitly recomend checking this book out if you want to see some of the freshest design out there.

Simple yet effective tutorial on how to improve your justified type settings. These simple changes really do make a difference. It’s a %103.5 guaranteed to turn your justified type into greatness. The only part I didn’t follow is changing the composer to Adobe Single-line Composer. In my experience Adobe Every-line Composer has always worked much better. A zillion times better. Anyone every had more success with the Adobe Single-line Composer work better?

Illustrator’s Pen Tool: The Comprehensive Guide via VECTORTUTS.
Tear, tear I can’t figure out the pen tool. I’m just going to give up on it and use MS Paint for the rest of my life. Well if you aren’t a baby and want to learn to used the pen tool I suggest you read these two tutorials. You’ll learn lots and eventually you’ll be able to create that kick ass skull with snakes coming out of it’s eyes.
